Hotel Santa Isabel

We only booked one night at Hotel Santa Isabel, which was the one regret of our visit. The terrace was a highlight, with stunning views and a lovely spot to sit and soak up Toledo. Breakfast was excellent too, with an authentic Spanish touch. The hotel’s historic feel fit the city beautifully, and the whole stay exceeded what we’d expected.

The rooftop view of the skyline was the surprise highlight, even better and closer than what we saw from the Parador hotel and viewpoint. We picked up inexpensive wine and beer from the hotel and enjoyed them while watching sunset. Santa Isabel Hotel is conveniently placed at the base of Toledo’s hill, so taxis can pick up easily, though there’s some uphill walking around town. The Cathedral, Jewish Quarter and main square are all just minutes away. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and I was thrilled with my stay.

Juan made us feel at home with his warmth and professionalism. He sorted out everything, including the tricky parking, and shared fascinating stories about the city that brought its history to life. Maria was a great help as well. We’re leaving with full hearts and wishing the whole team prosperity and joy. Happy New Year! ✨ The building’s historic character, our lovely room and the breathtaking terrace all surpassed our hopes. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt unmistakably like enchanted Toledo. Choosing this hotel felt like pure luck.

Juan at the Santa Isabel was exceptionally helpful during our two-night visit. The hotel has lovely old-world character, and it’s a great building in a very quiet spot right by the Cathedral. Toledo itself is such a wonderful city.
