I brought a family tour to Dieppe, and this hotel had the best prices and an awesome location. It was very clean, the staff were friendly, and breakfast was delicious. On-site parking is limited, but street parking is free, which worked out great. You can walk to good restaurants in the harbour, and the sea is just across the promenade. I’ll definitely stay here again.

The rooms were clean, the bathrooms great, and the beds huge. Evelyn, the evening receptionist, was charming and very helpful, with impeccable English. Everyone on staff was friendly and ready to help with anything. Breakfast was okay, but the croissants weren’t warm and weren’t the best. I was also disappointed that coffee and hot chocolate came from a machine. The lovely staff serving breakfast were very attentive, though.

The worst part was being charged more than the prices shown on the hotel website and Booking.com. When we asked why, we were told rates can change daily and rise during local events. What?! I travel regularly to the US, where complimentary coffee is available all day, so it was especially disappointing that the coffee machines here were switched off after breakfast. Breakfast itself was very poor. The rooms were noisy and the decor was a strange mix of 70s and 80s style with modern items. The broken rain shower was too big for its small enclosure, the closet safe didn’t work, and the chairs, cabinets, and lamps didn’t match. Sorry, one stay only, never again. I’d recommend one of the many other hotels.

We had a superb sea view through a huge sliding window, and the rainfall and handheld shower were both great. The panoramic breakfast room was lovely, and the buffet was good, with boiled eggs, cold meats, and cheeses. Handy for town and its restaurants.

We had a really good two-course dinner, with some lovely dishes. The a la carte menu has a wonderful seafood selection, and the wine choice was good too. The restaurant’s panoramic sea view makes it a nice place to sit, and the staff were very helpful. The room was functional, but the plastic-type mattress cover made for a hot, uncomfortable night unless the window was open.
