The hosts, Christelle and Francois, speak very good English and are excellent. Staying there feels like being with friends, and the place is very clean with all the usual amenities. They rent out two en-suite bedrooms in a lovely French townhouse on a B&B basis, with a wonderful continental breakfast. If you’re touring by motorbike, you can park behind their locked gate, and it’s also a great base close to Calais. I’ll definitely return.

A great spot for getting to the Channel Tunnel, and the breakfast was delicious, with fresh croissants, butter and jam, plus pain au chocolat. We had a large, airy room that was beautifully decorated and comfortable, and both it and the en suite were spotless. The hosts were fantastic, so friendly and always ready to help. It’s a beautiful French townhouse. We’d definitely recommend it and will return.

The house itself is wonderful, with a winding staircase and an old Sophora tree in the garden. The bedrooms are stylish and comfortable, and Christelle works hard to make everything just right. The owners are lovely, and breakfast, with homemade jams, bread, pastries and yoghurt, will be hard to beat. A real hidden gem of a small hotel.

We showed up as guests and left feeling like friends. What a find: a beautiful French house run by a wonderful family, right in the middle of the cute little town of Guines and just 10 minutes from the Channel Tunnel. The wifi was excellent, the bed really comfy, the shower wonderful and breakfast amazing. Everything was perfect. Don’t miss it. We’ll be back. 😊
