The bed at Vie la Vie was the most comfortable one I slept in on our whole cycle tour, and it was long enough for me as a tall person. We stopped overnight while riding through Germany and France, arriving on a very wet afternoon. Roy greeted us warmly, helped get our bikes into his garage, and brought towels to deal with the worst of the rain. Miranda’s dinner was beautifully presented and really, really good. Breakfast was excellent too, with a croque madame creatively arranged in a mould, and set us up well for the day. A comfortable place with super friendly, helpful hosts.

Beautiful surroundings, and hiking routes start right at VielaVie. We had a lovely room with comfortable beds and lots of space for our family of four. Dinner and breakfast were both superb. Roy and Miranda are great hosts, and I’d especially recommend staying here if you’re cycling or hiking.

Miranda and Roy are especially friendly, and it was a joy to find this charming place. The setting is peaceful, the bedding is excellent, and dinner was delicious. A very welcoming stop during a cycling trip.

We only stayed one night at Roy and Miranda's, but felt at home right away. They were incredibly kind, and the place had a personal, welcoming feel. Dinner was delicious, and they made us a special meal to accommodate a food intolerance. Our bikes could be stored in the workshop without any trouble. The rooms are cozy, and the 2.10m bed was especially comfortable for me as a tall person. If we’re in the area again, we know where we’ll stay.

The village center is only a five-minute walk away, though VieLaVie itself is in a very quiet spot on the edge of the village. There’s a well-kept garden at both the front and back of the house. We were lucky with the weather and ate breakfast and dinner on the covered terrace, but there’s also plenty of room in the large dining, living, and TV room if the weather turns bad. Miranda & Roy have renovated their small hotel and run it with real passion and attention to detail. Roy parked his car outside and let us use the garage for our motorcycles, which was fantastic. We stayed three nights with two friends while touring the Vosges Mountains on our motorcycles. Our larger room had very comfortable twin beds, plus a separate toilet and bathroom. We’d booked breakfast only, but were glad we chose the three-course dinner option too. There was also a well-stocked refrigerator, with everything at reasonable prices. Thanks again for the warm welcome, delicious food, and wonderful three days. Keep up the great work. We’d love to come back! Volker & Thorsten
