The manager refunded the two nights we didn’t use, but that didn’t undo the rest of the stay. My partner was left with painful, itchy bites and bruises; they only went away after nine days of antihistamine cream and tablets. We’d come to NICE for a holiday, and it ended on a miserable note. We left because she woke up covered in bumps and bites. When we checked, there were bed bugs on the bed and in the headboard. Reception offered to move us to the hotel, but said there wasn’t a room available for the rest of our stay. The choices were a small, dark underground room with no kitchenette, or moving between rooms because nothing was available for two nights in a row. Neither worked for us, and we didn’t want to stay in the infested apartment, so we found another hotel. We’d booked the apartment for our visit to NICE with my partner.

Once you find the right floor, the room is easy enough to manage, though it was confusing to locate at first. It has an industrial look and enough room for two, but not enough towels for both of us. The kitchenette is basic too, and was missing things like dish soap and a sponge. The location worked well for getting around: about five minutes on foot to the beach and Negresco, then a straight 10-15 minute walk to vielle ville, the old town. There were sketchy arabs hanging around outside, though that seemed common across Nice. There’s no concierge here, so ask any questions or make requests at hotel "ravioli", where you pick up the keys.

A basic, budget place with clean rooms, in a handy spot near the termini station and metro.

The bathroom setup was really odd, with no roof. You can hear what your roommate is doing in there.

Great spot in a very good location. The rooms are okay.
