Hotel Monet

The worst place I’ve ever stayed. I’d give it zero stars if I could.

The room wasn’t properly soundproofed, and the lack of professionalism was obvious. I only stayed one night before trying scuba diving, and believe me, you won’t want to stay two. To my surprise, the room was filthy when I arrived. The bin hadn’t been emptied, the bath towels were stained, and a crumpled blanket was left on a chair in the corner. There was hair and toothpaste residue in the sink, a dirty wine glass in the cupboard, and, excuse my language, a glob of phlegm in the duvet.

The price was very affordable, and the new, clean room had comfortable beds. The bathroom setup was inconvenient, though. It’s fine for young groups who want a low-cost place, as long as they aren’t expecting luxury. Hygiene and comfort were adequate.

Strange hotel. The shower is beyond criticism, and the toilet isn’t any better. At least we only had to put up with it for one night. There’s no air conditioning at all.
