Maison Bianchi - 1156 Promenade des Anglais

A horrible stay, and the hotel was nothing like the pictures online, just a pale copy. My room was tiny and humid, with only sheer curtains, so the light made sleeping impossible. It was extremely noisy too. The coffee machine was disgusting and the locker room filthy. None of the elevators worked, so I had to haul my luggage up to the 5th floor myself. The service was terrible and the presentation completely misleading. I would never stay here again.

The location is great, near public transport and right by the Promenade, with a great view. Check-in was seamless and self-service, and the rooms were clean. They even have free lockers for luggage after check-out. Highly recommend!

On December 31st, we were put in a freezing room where the heating didn't work at all. The hotel was full, so changing rooms wasn't possible. They brought over a small portable heater from another room that had the same problem, but it made no difference, and we spent the night cold. They promised a refund, but it was never processed, and the property stopped answering our emails and calls. A terrible, highly unprofessional experience. Don't pay before you see the room. Avoid.

The sea view is spectacular, and the location is great and accessible. The hotel is right across from the public beach, so there's no need for a beach club, and the tram is just a two-minute walk away. Staff were friendly and really helpful. The room was small but had enough space to move around. We stayed for seven days, and it completed my French Riviera dream. Housekeeping came daily, but the floors didn't seem to get swept or cleaned, and I don't think our sheets were changed. They stayed clean, though. The elevator was super duper slow, but for all the other reasons I'd definitely stay again and highly recommend it.
