Aida Opera Hotel

Location was the only good thing for us. We stayed three nights, and there was no AC. Reception said it wasn't working anywhere in the property, and when we asked what they could do, the answer was just nothing. Very unprofessional. The rooms were small and the bathroom cramped. Breakfast sounded pathetic, so we never ate there. When I complained to Expedia, where I booked, the hotel claimed they had upgraded us. They did not do anything. There was no upgrade. Please don't make false claims and mislead people.

The room was a little tight, but the location is prime, central to just about everything we wanted to see and within walking distance of a LOT. The staff were great about helping with whatever we needed, from a ride to information. The decor is fun for photos too. My friend and I actually had a photo shoot in one of the halls!

The AC was broken throughout my stay, as the receptionist confirmed on the first day. All they offered was a fan. There was no room service, and the staff were unprofessional and disrespectful at every level. When I complained, they told me to wait for a manager who was on vacation. I called the police, and the hotel's own maintenance man came to the room, saw what was going on, and gave me the police number. Then management accused me in writing of sabotaging the AC to make up a complaint. That's a shameful lie from a place that failed at every level and then attacked its guest to avoid taking responsibility. Stay away!!!

The corridor decoration was my favorite part 😅. Reception service was good, and they helped with anything I needed. It's in a quiet area, with a convenient location for walking or taking the metro just about anywhere. The rooms are sufficient, and room service was good every day. Breakfast is basic, though it has the essentials. Personally, I'd rather eat outside. A good 3 stars hotel.
