Hotel Lucien & Marinette

I was very disappointed by how the hotel handled my cancellation. I had to cancel because of emergency surgery and sent medical documents confirming I couldn't travel, but they wouldn't offer a refund or any flexibility. The staff showed no empathy or willingness to help during a serious health situation. I wouldn't recommend staying here if you expect understanding or customer care.

The staff were wonderful, and the hotel is about a 10-minute walk from the central station. It's a good base for a one- or two-day stay if you're traveling to Amsterdam or Brussels.

We stayed four nights at Hotel Lucien & Marinette on a recent Paris trip and had a great time. Since we arrived through East Station, it was very convenient for getting to CDG and catching other euro trains. We got there before the 14:00 check-in, but they had a room for luggage. It isn't monitored, so I wouldn't leave valuables there. The decor had a lot of personality, and our two bed space had comfortable beds with charging ports on both sides, a mini fridge, a small bar for hanging clothes, and a tiny desk near the door. The bathroom was small, but the shower was comfortable and I liked the overhead fixture. Being on a busy street means you can hear some nightlife outside, though it wasn't especially loud. If noise might bother you while sleeping, I'd ask for a room on a higher floor. I'd stay again if the price worked and we needed to be close to the station for CDG.

We had a cute, comfortable room for our one night on the way home. The hotel was right by an indoor market and close to lots of restaurants. I'd stay here again next time I'm in Paris.
