ibis Paris Brancion Parc des Expositions 15ème

This was my second stay at this small hotel, which is away from the tourist hotspots but easy to get to them from the nearby Porte de Vavnes metro. There are lots of food options close by, including one of the best bakeries at the end of the block, Max Pouliane (sp?). The rooms and bathrooms are compact. The AC works when it feels like it, and the towels don't absorb very well, but those are small things I don't let bother me in Paris.

The hotel was clean and in a handy spot for getting into Paris, with most landmarks about a 30 minute metro ride away. But the room details needed more attention. We booked several rooms, and a few could have used some TLC. In some rooms booked for three, the sofa bed hadn't been made up and there was no bedding for it. One room had poor lighting, and another had only one towel for three guests. Reception did what they could, but they were busy much of the time, so it took a while to sort things out. It served our needs, though it could have been better.

Getting to the tourist sights took about an hour by transit, and this is a residential area with a long journey to the main sites. The rooms were cramped and small, and felt dated: the doorknob was loose, the sink drained slowly, and the charging ports were loose enough that neither plug nor cable would stay in. Breakfast was good. The front desk staff were kind and courteous, but seemed to have limited supplies and equipment, including glassware, towels, and a working wine bottle opener.

The service was fantastic and our room was clean. It's a quiet, pleasant area where we felt safe walking back late in the evening, and this is a nice budget friendly option if you're travelling with no more than two people in a room. Most attractions are under 30 minutes away by Uber, but because the hotel is a bit farther out, a car can take over 15 minutes to arrive.
