Hôtel Vacances Bleues Provinces Opéra

The room got uncomfortably warm, especially at night. I had to turn the thermostat off, since it only allows a ±3°C adjustment, and keep the window open. Aside from that, I had a very positive stay at Hôtel Vacances Bleues Provinces Opéra. The central location made it easy to see sights, eat out, and get around Paris on foot or by public transport. The building is well maintained, and the clean entrance and lounge areas feel modern and welcoming, in line with a solid three-star hotel. The price was reasonable for the area and Paris. I skipped breakfast at €19 per person per day, since the neighborhood has excellent boulangeries serving breakfast for much less. Good value overall, and I’d consider staying again.

The location was good and breakfast was pretty good, but there was no Wi-Fi, no air in the room, and the windows wouldn’t open. We spent 30 minutes trying to get into the hotel, then had to wait for another guest to open the door with their pass because the doorbell didn’t work. The hygiene bags in my room had already been opened when I checked in.

My room was comfortable and spacious, and the staff made my dog feel very welcome. Ruth and Luna were friendly and really helped both of us settle in. They’re very good at their jobs. I was really pleased with my stay. Thank you, ladies.

We had a large room by Paris standards, and breakfast was generous for a three-star hotel. Unfortunately, items ran out often, and when staff replenished them, they brought too little, so they were gone again almost straight away. The main reason for my four-star rating, though, was the location. Late at night the immediate surroundings felt threatening and unsafe, which was disappointing for us as people who like exploring cities after dark. We sadly wouldn’t stay again for that reason. Maybe that’s why the hotel entrance doors are locked even in the middle of the afternoon. If you stay in at night or take taxis door to door, this may be less of an issue. The hotel was lovely and reasonably priced, but let down by its surroundings.
