Résidence Place Vendome/Opéra (Daunou)

They even upgraded us to a penthouse at no extra cost, which was a lovely surprise. The location is right in the center, service was fine and especially good for a three-star hotel, and everyone looked after our requests. Thanks for hosting us on our wedding trip. We’d definitely recommend staying here.

Breakfast was good, though the choices were limited. The hotel was mostly quiet, and the bathroom in our room was roomy, even though the room itself felt tight for two people. It’s well placed for shopping and close to two metro stations.

The rooms were good, and the reception staff were friendly and very helpful. Still, my four-night stay didn’t meet my expectations. I booked through the hotel’s website, and the elevator was out of service for two days while I was there.

The room was clean and spacious, and they took our request for a quiet room into account. There’s plenty nearby, from bistros, restaurants, coffee and pastry shops to malls and luxury stores, and it’s a great base for exploring Paris on foot. Breakfast was good quality and enough to get the day started, though the pastries could have been fresher. I do have one security concern: you can use the elevator without a room card. Someone is always at reception, but they can’t know every guest. Aside from that, this is a great choice in one of the best central areas of Paris. Thank you.
