We found the room clean and tidy, and the beds were clean and reasonably comfortable after a long day travelling. Still, the dated bedroom and bathroom could use refurbishment, and we left underwhelmed by the stay. At around 9:00 pm, the bar and restaurant were already closed, so after travelling we couldn’t sit down for a drink or a small bite. There were no alternatives, and neither the coffee machine nor the vending machine worked, leaving us without even a simple drink or snack. The door lock also didn’t work properly, which made us worry about security. Maintenance should check and fix it as a priority.

After a 14-hour drive we were exhausted, so the free parking and dog-friendly policy were exactly why we booked. Getting back onto the main motorway for our road trip was easy too. But the room was tiny, the pictures made it look better, and for €53 for two adults and a dog for one night, it felt expensive for what we got. The door barely shut properly, the room wasn’t clean enough, and the cleaner had to come remove someone’s toenails from the table. The shower area and bath looked rotten. We also had to pay €2 for each hot drink.

The host was outstanding, helpful, and worked hard to meet everyone’s needs. Our rooms were clean, though dated. We also had the evening meal, which was tasty and wholesome at a reasonable price. Breakfast was very good too and worth having.

The staff were very friendly and spoke English, and there’s plenty of free parking. The place is spacious and clean, with a cute, sturdy bathroom, a big mirror, and a bath. I slept better here than at any well-known budget chain, the bed and pillows were the comfiest I’ve ever had, and the pillows weren’t overstuffed. Nothing to complain about. It’s a great place at a good price.

The quirky decor in the communal areas was a nice touch, and the location is good, away from a busy road. For a budget hotel it was clean, the staff were friendly, and breakfast had a great selection. The bed was comfortable too, even with my bad back. We’ll come back if we’re in the area again.
