Zenitude Hôtel - Résidences Roissy Village

The first night, the main entrance had no lock, so anyone could walk into the property. My room’s air conditioning didn’t work, and I spent two nights without it. When I told reception, they said they couldn’t help and claimed the website had mentioned the issue. That information wasn’t there when I booked online through the hotel site. The terrace was in bad condition, with cigarette butts all over it, and the kitchen was in poor shape. The bathroom was awful, especially the bathtub, with water leaking everywhere. I was also charged an extra Euro 13.50 on my credit card for booking fees. It took five discussions with reception and an hour waiting at checkout to get the money back.

We had no sleep because people gathered outside at night, laughing and singing until 3 in the morning. The air conditioning didn’t work, so the room never cooled down and we slept with the windows and doors open. There wasn’t a fire alarm installed either, which seems dangerous when people cook in the rooms. There were four of us, but we got only two towels. The sofa bed had no sheets or pillows. When I went downstairs, they gave us sheets but said they had no pillows. The phone to the front desk didn’t work. Later, water poured from behind the kitchen cabinet while I was washing dishes. The pipe had been cut, with a bowl underneath to catch the water. At first glance, the room looked clean and had lots of space, with a bedroom, living room and separate kitchen. The bathroom was old and due for an upgrade, but usable. This place has potential, but it needs far too much work. I don’t recommend it. The only reason I gave it two stars was that it was fairly clean and spacious.

We had to find a hotel quickly after our flight was canceled. The desk staff member made the service a zero-star experience, and I’m usually generous. There were endless mistakes for us and other guests. One example: our key card was coded for a room that was already occupied, and my husband walked in on that. 😱 Once that and the other problems were sorted out, we enjoyed a walk around the lovely neighborhood and a delicious meal at a nearby Bistro. Best Creme Brule!

Check-in was awful: I was sent to room A302, which was already occupied. Walking in there with my two young kids was extremely embarrassing. The next room, B8, was worse, a smoking room with no air conditioning and broken light fixtures. Reception, Charlie, didn’t offer any real help and told me to email the manager. I demand a full refund for this disastrous stay. Avoid this hotel at all costs.
