Hôtel Le Verger

A small, family-run hotel with very friendly service. It’s clean, the beds are comfortable, and there’s a lovely courtyard garden for drinks or dinner. The rural setting is close to the highway and restaurants. We couldn’t find a thing wrong and would happily return on another trip.

We were very happy with our stay in the family apartment, which has two bedrooms and is easy to reach directly from the car park. One room has a double and a single bed; the other has two singles, a sofa, and an adjoining kitchen and dining area. There’s also a separate bathroom and toilet. The apartment was clean, modern, and in very good condition. It had plenty of hot water, effective electric radiators when needed, and a kitchen with a fridge freezer, microwave, hob, coffee machine, and oven. Free WiFi was fast, the staff were friendly, and parking was plentiful and free. The location is handy from the motorway and near the power station for travelling workers, with a Super U nearby. We didn’t try the restaurant or breakfast, since we could shop for ourselves. The continental breakfast looked adequate, though a bit pricey. Picnics can be ordered if you can’t or don’t want to make your own. Just make sure whoever uses the twin room is responsible enough to have an 'ensuite' kitchen.

A comfortable place at a reasonable price for a stop on the way south. The staff are nice, parking is plentiful, and electric car charging is cheap. It’s also close to some lovely places.

The room was clean, with good beds, and had been partly renovated. The staff were lovely, and we had a very nice dinner in the garden.
