Breakfast was excellent, with plenty of good food in a lovely cellar room. Reception was only perfunctory, serviceable but no more. We spent three nights with family for the Christmas markets, booking one double room and one triple for our adult daughters. The main square of the markets is about a ten-minute walk away. The hotel sits outside the central old town across the river, which makes access easier. In the central area between the rivers, bridges close to cars, taxis and Ubers from 11 am, and bags crossing them are searched. The main train station is about a ten-minute drive, though traffic can add time. I've traveled for years across all continents, including a lot in Europe, and have never had a smaller hotel room. Ours was tiny, and even getting around to the other side of the bed was a challenge. It seems to be one room on each floor, at the end of the corridor, though I can't recall the number. I wouldn't stay again with the risk of getting one of those rooms, but otherwise it would be okay if they could be avoided.

The location is perfect, and the recent renovations look excellent. The staff were helpful and very good to deal with. Many of the people I spoke with were university students, all bright, engaging and a joy to chat to. I'd come back.

The room was small, which I can live with, but the Wi-Fi in it was extremely poor. In 2026, I can't put up with internet that bad. For the price, the hotel is good: near the city center without being right in the middle, and everywhere is reachable on foot in about 15 minutes at most. The staff are very nice and cordial.

The only letdown was mixed communication about the parking lot. The room had all the essentials, the location was very good for walking to central places, and the staff were polite and helpful. Overall, I had a good experience.

It was clean, though old and small, and suited our budget needs: somewhere to leave our things, sleep and shower while we were in the area. The staff were very helpful, and the location made a perfect base for exploring the city on foot, which is the best way to get to know a place. It was priced right and worked great for us. I gave it three stars because it's a 3 Star Hotel.
