The bed was comfortable and I slept well. CitizenM’s self-service setup works fine for one person, and the clever design makes the small room feel manageable. It was kept very clean. My only real downside was the oversized pillow.

That rain shower got hot straight away, and the towels were good quality. The mattress and pillow were comfortable too. The little tablet for the lights, TV and blind was a fun touch, and the reception area is packed with things to look at. Someone staying alone might not run into our bed problem, but as a couple my husband had to climb over me to get to the bathroom. The duvet didn’t cover the bed properly, and we were told we could have asked for a bigger one. Shouldn’t that have been there already? There was a small table beside the bed that he kept bumping into in the dark, so neither of us slept much. There were big chunks of fibreglass missing from the shower floor, and the shower curtain felt like an afterthought, perhaps to keep the toilet rolls dry. No glasses by the sink, either. For the room price, I’d have expected a bottle of water in the mini fridge. Instead, there was a little blank book in case you wanted to write poetry. The bar prices were astronomical. We thought the room looked bright, smart and unusual when we arrived, but sadly it didn’t feel worth the cost, and we wouldn’t recommend it for a couple.

I’ve never had this level of service at an airport hotel, and I’ll be back. My flight was canceled in Paris, so I found citizenM on the Bonvoy app. Everyone seemed to work together, from the front desk and luggage team to food and beverage. They were kind and welcoming. Gaston greeted me warmly at reception and luckily found me a room for an early check-in. Jet-lagged, I went to the bar for a bite and a drink, where Ibrahim offered me his Valentine’s special with a big smile and lots of enthusiasm. Osariem welcomed me too, made drinks, and helped out at the desk. Victoria was busy assisting guests and offered me coffee and other drinks.

The 24/7 canteenM came in handy for a late snack and a quick bite before my flight, and check-in and check-out were smooth. The staff were welcoming and helpful throughout. My room was spotless, quiet and comfortable, with a huge cozy bed and handy iPad controls for the lights, blinds and temperature. The modern design and stylish interiors felt well maintained. Getting to Terminal 2C was easy: Roissypôle, Terminal 3 and the CDGVAL train are just a short 3-4 minute walk away. It’s a very convenient, stress-free choice for CDG, and I’d stay at citizenM again.
