After a family get-together, I stayed the night and was impressed. The room was clean, the bed comfortable, and the shower had good pressure and plenty of hot water. Check-in was friendly and informative. For the price, it was just what we needed, and I’d stay again. I didn’t use the bar or restaurant, so I can’t comment on them.

The recommendation I got was spot on, and I’ll be staying here again. I was working nearby and spent five nights at the hotel. The service was great, my room was attended to daily, and both breakfast and dinner were great. Couldn’t ask for more.

The shower had no hot water at night or at 4 am when we were getting ready to leave. A security guard kindly knocked early in the morning; we told him about the shower and he said he would have had a look for us, but we were leaving for Birmingham airport. The beds weren’t very comfortable, and dogs are allowed, so we heard quite a lot of barking. It would be better if the hotel had a section for guests with dogs. The food wasn’t great and there wasn’t much choice, and eating in the foyer wasn’t ideal with people coming and going. We’d asked for extra tea in the room because we were leaving early, but it wasn’t brought. The hotel was very clean and the staff were friendly. Not sure we’d use it again.

The staff we met were all so friendly and helpful, and nothing seemed like too much trouble. Our disabled room was a really high standard, the best we’ve stayed in at any hotel. We’d gone to a football game at Birmingham city and wanted somewhere away from the busy centre, but not far from the game. This hotel was on our route north and close to the M42. It was our first time staying at a Best Western, since we usually choose the opposition two, but we’ll definitely book a BW again if there’s one near where we’re going. The food was excellent. I’m not usually a pizza person, but this was the best I’ve ever had. Breakfast was plentiful and hot, though the continental options weren’t hot. We’ll stay again when we’re around the Midlands for another match.
