Doubletree by Hilton Bath

Our first weekend away with our three-month-old daughter was really comfortable and enjoyable, thanks to Hassan at the front of house and Mario from maintenance. I want to say a huge thank you for everything you did during our stay. They gave us the best customer service, and the hotel is lucky to have them both. Thank you so much again! 🥝🥑

The location is fantastic, just minutes from the town centre, with a supermarket right nearby and the Roman baths about a 10-minute walk away. For our family overnight stay, we had a good-sized family room with a huge king bed and a single sofabed, plus breakfast. Even after doing some shopping, we still had space despite not having loads of luggage. It was really cold when we arrived because the air conditioning was working too well, but housekeeping brought extra blankets quickly. The beds were comfortable, including the sofa bed. We didn’t try the shower because we went to the local baths instead, but everything else seemed good. Reception was friendly and helpful. Matteo made breakfast feel extra special with his warm welcome and brisk, entertaining introduction to the meal. Parking isn’t reserved. There’s a public car park right under the hotel, but it was full when we arrived because of a nearby rugby match. We parked on the street for a couple of hours, using the MiPermit app, then moved to the car park. Good value for Bath, and a great stay.

Kay welcomed us warmly at check-in, and the cookies were a delicious little extra. Our king bed was incredibly comfortable, and we had a lovely view of the river from our room. Tom at the bar and reception was very friendly and made us feel at home; Liv was sweet at checkout and sent us off on a lovely note. Breakfast was nice too. We had a great stay at the DoubleTree in Bath and would happily return.

The hotel is right in the centre of Bath, one of its best features. Rooms are clean and comfortable, and the staff are pleasant and helpful. There’s a nice bar area for meeting up over a drink, and breakfast has a good range of food. Some items aren’t available if you come down later, though. Parking is under the hotel, but it’s an expensive option.
