Premier Inn Birmingham Longbridge

We'd never stayed at a Premier Inn before, but came with our 3-year-old daughter to see family and were pleasantly surprised. The room had plenty of space, was clean, and had what we needed. The shower was great, we could plug a firestick into the TV, and it was quiet at night. Dinner and breakfast at the Beefeater were good and as expected. Preeti at the front desk was lovely, and the arrival treats in our room were a nice surprise. No complaints, especially for the price. We'd definitely stay here again.

Breakfast was great, with a good choice, and the staff were attentive. I especially liked the White Americano. The team were welcoming and helpful throughout, and the room was clean and functional. The location worked for our family reunion, though parking cost us a lot over three days despite there being plenty of spaces. Hotel guests should get a concession. There were a few room problems: the bathroom extractor fan stayed broken, the desk light only needed a new bulb, and staff did fix the shower temperature regulator.

I've been here for 5.5 weeks because of circumstances I didn't expect. The first part was hard for me and my two children, but Justine and Abu have made us feel welcome and comfortable, always greeting us with a smile. They helped me hide my son's 10th birthday balloons and brought them out when I was ready. When we returned to the room on his birthday, there was also a card and treats from everyone at the Premier Inn beside his other presents. He felt so happy and special. I'm really grateful for their kindness.

Rooms have lots of worn or broken bits, like light fittings and soap dispensers. Reception seems to have very little cover, and calling doesn't help because the phone message says they're busy with customers, yet they're usually in the back when you check in. I assume staffing is an issue. They also throw away items left behind when cleaners find them, so there's no lost and found.
