Breakfast was the best part for me. For £6 per person per day, it was very well cooked, with a small English breakfast, hot or cold drinks and cereal to choose from. The location is excellent, but the room, facilities and service are very basic, which is about what you'd expect for the price. The room was clean, though the bed wasn't comfortable, and by day three my shoulder and neck were quite stiff. The building looked neglected from outside, with lots of add-ons, and the welcome at the desk felt casual to the point of seeming like they didn't care who we were or what we wanted. We were given keys and pointed towards the room.

The place was warm and cosy in winter, and the breakfast was fine. The person running it couldn't do enough for us. It's perfectly adequate, and we'll be back.

Ravi found a room for my friend and her two young granddaughters after the hotel they'd booked let them down, with no one there to check them in. We all had a lovely time. The host was fantastic and the atmosphere very friendly. Our rooms and beds were comfortable and warm. I skipped breakfast this time, but I've had it before and the food was amazing. I won't stay anywhere else. We were there 6.06.25 til 08.06.25.

The hotel was clean and comfortable, and did the job. The person who checked us in seemed to have lost a bet and been made to work all weekend. He stayed grumpy the whole time, at least he was consistent.

The owner was brilliant and couldn't do enough for me. The hotel felt warm and welcoming. I stayed here on 4 July 25 and will come back again.
