Corner House Canterbury

The continental breakfast brought to our room was just what we needed after the huge beef wellington the night before. We had dinner in the restaurant because its reviews were so good compared with other places in Canterbury, and it lived up to them. The staff were lovely, and the wellington was so impressive. The chef is incredible. We stayed one night, and the room was beautiful, with a gorgeous bath. We were very happy with our stay, thank you to the corner house. 10/10, we'd recommend it and return next time we're in Canterbury.

The service was excellent all round, especially when my flatiron steak turned out seriously chewy. It happens, and when I quietly mentioned it at the till, the staff didn't quibble at all and took it straight off the bill. My husband, son, his partner and I were there for his birthday. We'd had delicious starters and cocktails, and the wine was good quality. The menu had some tempting choices: I ordered flatiron steak, my husband chose belly pork, and the other two had duck. I'd highly recommend the place.

It was our first time there, for NYE dinner, and every mouthful was delicious. You could taste the passion, talent and care in the food. We were stuffed by the third course but still cleared our plates. Well done to the whole team. We'll be back.

Mary makes every guest feel welcome, and her friendly, attentive service keeps us coming back. She's knowledgeable and gives great recommendations, while staying professional and warm. She's a real asset to the restaurant. Highly recommended.
