We had a comfortable stay, with friendly staff and beds that were easy to sleep in. The Christmas decorations were lovely, and dinner had several vegan choices, including a burger, pasta arrabiatta, and a delicious vegan cheesecake. Please keep that cheesecake on the menu! Staff were helpful with special requests. Breakfast was good, though separate tongs for the hot dishes would help vegans and vegetarians avoid utensils that had touched meat. Vegan sausages would also be a welcome option. The one thing I disliked in the room was the toilet, which sat very low and wasn’t comfortable. Apart from that, I’d stay again.

There’s a gym and a decent restaurant and bar here, if that’s what you’re after. The location just off the motorway is handy, though the car park is a short walk away up some stairs, so anyone who struggles with stairs should be dropped at the entrance. My room was warm and clean but could do with some care. I also missed having a bedside lamp and a power socket. Otherwise, it’s a standard Holiday Inn.

Breakfast was enjoyable, with plenty of options, and they made vegan sausages when asked. The room was comfortable and had what we needed, and the location suited our plans perfectly. Dinner was disappointing. The staff didn’t know the menu allergens, and the meal arrived dry and overcooked. It felt like a very basic microwave or deep-fried dinner. I’d recommend the hotel and breakfast, but not dinner at the restaurant.

The staff were lovely, the room was excellent, and I slept really well. Breakfast came with the room, had a great range, and they kept replenishing the food so nothing ran out. Check Booking.com and the other sites for prices. I paid £63.00 for a double room with breakfast.

28/2/26. Don’t park here. While I was attending a wedding, someone tried to steal my car. They were stopped, but the thief or thieves assaulted them and rammed their car, which was written off. Staff know these incidents happen and said it’s a regular occurrence. There’s no CCTV in the car park, and the police didn’t arrive.
