The rooms were clean and comfortable, the showers were great, and the staff were helpful and friendly. Our B&B booking included breakfast next door at the Beefeater, which we enjoyed too. The hotel’s on an industrial estate, but we still had a lovely short break here. It’s close to the city and wasn’t too busy, so I’d recommend it for a few days visiting Durham.

It’s only a 5-6 minute bus ride to Durham Centre, and we had a really enjoyable trip to a great city. The rooms were clean and comfortable, with good showers, and breakfast was plentiful and good quality in a comfortable setting. Andrew and Lee gave excellent service at breakfast. At reception, Rhona Neil and Chris were polite, friendly and helpful, with nothing too much trouble. We had a great weekend and will definitely come back, perhaps next summer for Durham Miners Gala.

I usually choose Premier Inn for short trips and have never had a problem with them. This one was clean and quiet, with good parking and all the room facilities and conveniences I needed. It was less than a mile from the golf course where I was playing over the next few days.

The staff were welcoming, friendly and courteous, as they have been at the other Premier Inns I’ve visited. But the room felt dated and had no air conditioning, just an electric wall heater. There was only one set of pillows instead of the usual two, and one set of towels. Late check-out wasn’t available, and I could hear noise through the extractor system. The place needs updating.

I go there regularly for work. The rooms are great, and the food is superb with the meal deals.
