The pub is stunning and cosy, and the Sunday roast was one of the best I’ve ever had. The local beer was lush too. The staff were lovely, friendly and very professional. Booking through the website was easy, they replied straight away, and they were flexible when I needed to change my reservation time. They got back to me promptly. Definitely a place to remember! x

The Pilot Inn has a fantastic atmosphere, and the online photos don’t really show how good the pub looks in person. I went for Sunday lunch and both the food and service were exceptional. It’s well worth a visit, and I’ll certainly be back.

We still like coming to this pub, but the portions have got dramatically smaller lately. For what you pay, I’d expect to be served, yet you have to go to the bar for drinks and fetch your own cutlery, condiments and napkins. There are staff gathered around the bar, so it leaves me wondering why it’s called a restaurant.

We hadn’t booked, but they still found room for us and our dog for Sunday lunch. The food was fantastic, the atmosphere was brilliant, and the staff were polite and helpful. A lovely pub and restaurant, definitely worth visiting.

This was my fifth visit, and I’ve thoroughly enjoyed all the other meals I’ve had here. This time, though, the last slice of liver was raw inside. The waitress took the meal off the bill without any fuss. Maybe the chef was having a bad day. The staff were relaxed but professional.
