We stayed in a really nice bell tent and would happily come back another year. It was very cold, though, so bring warm clothes and socks to sleep in. The camp is cozy and very close to the airport, close enough to walk. The toilets and showers were clean, and the volunteer staff were friendly. Breakfast could have been a bit better, maybe with something like cheese. In the evenings, the bar served dinner, snacks, and drinks, with good service and friendly people.

The festival camp was wonderful, and I liked everything about it. There were friendly people around all the time, and I even made a new friend in the socializing tent. That tent has a nice bar and shop where you can get breakfast, candy, and drinks, plus a stage where people can perform for each other. The big charging station handled lots of different things at once. A few EU outlets were usually taken, but there were USB hubs with about five ports too. I’d still bring an adapter for your country, since it’s useful. We stayed in the largest tent, which turned out much better than we expected. It came with air beds, pillows, and blankets. It can get cold, so we might bring extra things next time. We’re Swedish, and it felt a bit chilly to us, but nothing too bad. I slept comfortably. There’s a bus stop close to camp, so getting to Edinburgh is easy. I recommend the “First” bus company. Ask the employees how to use the buses and get around, and they’re happy to help. I’d avoid “Lothian” buses if you don’t know Edinburgh. They may have the number you need but take you somewhere else. If you’re planning a trip to Edinburgh, I recommend checking the place out. That’s it from me, thanks for reading, and have a lovely day!

We’d be happy to come back, though next time we’ll try another site for comparison. It’s a pretty basic place, but public transport into the city centre is reasonably good. For the local area during the Edinburgh Fringe, it’s probably the cheapest way to stay. The site sits pretty much at the bottom of Runway 24 at Edinburgh Airport. There are lots of flights in the daytime, but only a few at night, and they didn’t keep us awake. It is what it is.

A great, friendly campsite, with clean toilets that wheelchair users can access. Breakfasts and suppers are reasonably priced and served in a huge tipi, where there are free Fringe events and open mic nights in the evenings. Regular buses take about 20 minutes to reach the city centre. Strongly recommended.

Staff were very friendly and helpful, and the site was well set up with an easy check-in. Our own campervan had a large pitch, and the facilities were reasonable, with toilets, showers, and a kitchen. There was a small breakfast service from 08:30 to 10:30am and a bar tent open from midday until 11pm. Buses and trams connect to Edinburgh city centre. The bus stop is a short walk away, and the tram station takes a little longer to reach. We stayed three nights in mid-August to visit Edinburgh and the Fringe Festival. It’s expensive for a campsite, but still probably the cheapest option in Edinburgh during the Fringe. We didn’t find the road and aircraft noise too bad and didn’t need earplugs. When we came two years ago, the site was larger and had a Teepee tent with food, wood-fired pizza, and a Fringe venue. That was missing this time, perhaps because of Covid measures.
