The bus 44 stop is right outside the guest house, and it takes about 15 minutes to reach Princess Street in Edinburgh city centre. Portobello beach is also just a 15-minute walk away. The owner was very pleasant and helpful. We had a large room with our own bathroom and a second sink, and breakfast was generous enough for a good start to the day. I'd recommend Milton House if you're after a homely place to stay.

A bus stop just outside goes to the city centre, and the Scottish breakfast had lots of choice and was delicious. The house has a lovely character, and our room was clean and comfortable. The owner was very welcoming. Toiletries and towels were supplied and replenished every day.

Everything I needed was provided, and I felt welcome. The proprietor is a real professional and clearly has years of experience running a B&B. The rooms are kept spotless and maintained to a high standard. Breakfast was delicious, with the black pudding and tattie scone included, unlike at many other places. I'd happily book again if I'm back in the area.

The house is lovely and the host is a lovely person. She made us two full breakfasts, and both were delicious. Buses into central Edinburgh stop right outside. A great little BNB just outside town.

Pauline was a fantastic host and made me feel welcome. A lovely guest house, with a nice room, a comfortable bed and a grand breakfast. Well worth a visit. I'll be back 👍
