A lovely B&B with really lovely staff. The beds were comfortable, the shared kitchen was nice, and check-in and checkout were easy. It's handy for getting around leith, and the tram gets you into downtown Edinburgh quickly. A good spot if you want to be near the city but away from downtown noise and crowds.

We've been here for a week over New Years and have loved it. The staff are so nice, the service is excellent, and the rooms are very clean. The Pillars House is by the "Foot of the walk" tram stop, making it easy to get to the city centre, airport, bus station, gardens, royal mile and Edinburgh Castle. There's tour and attraction information, plus a full kitchen stocked with fresh fruit, packaged croissants, pans, plates and more. Our room had a flat screen TV, coffee maker, refrigerator and nice accent lighting. It's generally quiet, though the floors creak a little and you can sometimes hear people coming and going. We haven't heard other guests or their TVs. As frequent travelers, we were very happy with the choice and would say to book it.

This felt like staying at my brother's place, so welcoming, with everything you could ask for. We had the family room and liked it. It could be tight for four adults, but should work easily for a family with younger kids or even teens. The room had a fridge with complimentary drinks, a kettle with lots of hot drink choices, and snacks, all free. They say breakfast isn't included, but the kitchen was so well stocked with bread, drinks, snacks and fresh fruit, and had great dishes and equipment. We made a small breakfast before heading out without a problem. You'll need to go elsewhere for a full Scottish breakfast, but there's enough for a quick meal. It may seem outside the city, but the tram stop is half a block away, and we reached the city in 20-25 minutes. We felt very safe walking the whole time, and several bus routes are close too. Parking was tricky to find at first since the tram runs right outside. Look behind the building, off Wellington place, near the Enterprise car rental, heading west on Wellington pl. It's a great little B&B, and we had a great stay.

The owner was extremely helpful, and we had a kitchen we could cook in, with complimentary breakfast, coffee and biscuits. The place was affordable, comfortable and easy to get to, close to the city and surrounded by restaurants and bars. Honestly, one of the best places we've stayed.

Really good value, and there's free parking too. The staff at check-in were friendly. My room was clean and spacious, and the bed was very comfortable. One of the best places I've stayed in across the UK.
