Breakfast is always a standout, and the new Guinea Fowl dish was great too. This was our sixth visit to Prestonfield, where the room was gorgeous and had a welcome bottle of champagne and chocolates waiting. Dinner was delicious, though a couple of little extras we'd had before were missing, like the choice of lovely bread, Amuse Bouche., and bar snacks with drinks. We come for a treat once a year. It's such a beautiful, sumptuous place, with brilliant staff and service. Stunning as always, and thank you.

The cloakroom worked smoothly, which was especially helpful at the end of the evening when taxis had been ordered. We went to a splendid Charity Dinner on Friday 13th February, with what looked to us like 300-400 diners. The staff were attentive, and the table service was impressively efficient for a crowd that size. The three-course meal was excellent. A really enjoyable evening.

The grounds are lovely, and although Prestonfield is only a few minutes from the city center, it feels like being out in the country, with all the peace and quiet that brings. We went for a friend's milestone birthday and had an incredible time. The house and its lavish interiors are extraordinary, the hospitality is generous, and the service belongs among the best hotels in the world. Breakfasts are mindblowing. There was chilled champagne in the room, homemade cookies, and even cream in the fridge for coffee. I can't recommend it highly enough.

We celebrated our wedding here and it was worth every penny. The room was gorgeous, and all the little touches made it feel special. We also got to use their march in to spring offer, which was incredible value. The food in the rhubarb was delicious at dinner and breakfast, and the staff were polite, friendly and attentive to every detail. They helped make our wedding day memorable. We had an incredible visit and would highly recommend it. We'll be back.

I haven't stayed overnight, so can't comment on the rooms. I was here for my daughter's graduation and thought the place was stunning and very well maintained. The staff serving us were polite and friendly. I'd love to return for a stay.
