Rabble

We went to Rabble Edinburgh on a Friday and again a few weeks later on Saturday, and both nights were fantastic. The bar feels welcoming from the minute you arrive, with a warm, lively atmosphere. Staff were polite, friendly and attentive without making us feel like a bother. Saturday's DJ was great, and the music had enough energy to dance to while still letting you chat and relax. The food was fresh, flavourful and beautifully presented, with lots of choice for the price. The drinks list had good wine and cocktails, though I think they need to add real Aperol! Two visits, great service and food both times. I'll definitely be back soon.

The pork belly and mash was great, and the prices and service were decent. The chicken wings starter, though, had very little flavour. Friday was packed, and the DJ could have been set a bit farther from the dining area, though it wasn't a major issue. Dinner is worth booking, and I'd return on a quieter night.

The food was amazing, even on the limited two course menu, which had plenty of variety. The staff were outstanding and made me feel at home. The restaurant was fabulous, and I can't recommend it highly enough.

The location made it easy to walk around Edinburgh old town and over to Stockbridge. The rooms are quite well appointed, but ours could have used a little care: bare walls and a tired bathroom with a shower over the bath. There's no air conditioning for hot weather, though fans are provided. The restaurant area wasn't great either, with average service and food.
