The room and shower room were clean and tidy, breakfast was plentiful, and the location was good. Still, I couldn’t relax during my stay because the owner’s manner kept changing. They’d be helpful one moment, then make rude comments, like “you shouldn’t order so much breakfast then” when I couldn’t finish my food.

We arrived really late, but the staff welcomed us warmly. A lovely lady checked us in and showed us to our cosy room, and the bathroom was spotless. Breakfast was amazing the next morning. The man who served it was so polite and gentlemanly, and made us feel valued.

I really miss staying in this lovely house and hope it reopens as a hotel. It’s closed now because the owners retired. When it was open, the guest house was clean and well run by a very nice couple. There were good breakfast choices, and they always had my soya milk, which earned extra points. It’s very close to the railway and buses into the town centre, or near enough to walk. There’s loads to do in Exeter.

I stayed for a few days and had a really good time. The beds were good, the room was nice and spacious, the bathroom was clean, and the staff were helpful. It was warm during my stay, though, and there’s no air conditioning. I would have liked some sort of fan.

The owners were polite and friendly, and breakfast had a great choice and tasted very nice. The rooms were lovely and the location was great. I can definitely recommend this guest house for a short or long stay.
