It can get busy, but the place is so big it never felt crowded. The staff were really friendly and happy to chat. A must if you're walking the West Highland Way. Thanks for having me!

I underestimated how long that stretch of the West Highland Way would take, so I arrived exhausted and hungry just as the sun was going down. I called ahead to say I was running very late, and they kindly made sure the cook saved me dinner. The staff were lovely when I got in. My shared room was comfortable, and the showers were warm and clean. The hostel sits right on the path, with amazing views of Loch lomand. It was my first hostel stay, and I loved it. I only wish I could've stayed longer to enjoy the location and hospitality.

After a long hike, the cold water and lovely view of Loch Lomond were a welcome refresh. We got in too late for dinner, but the front desk had some options behind the counter, and Cup O Noodles hit the spot. Everything was very clean, and the staff on site were helpful. Breakfast was nice, and we had a packed lunch to eat on the loch shore the next day.

After hiking all day, this was just the right place to stop. The view and location were perfect, and our room was clean and comfortable. We cooked dinner in the kitchen, while the children had fun with the board games in the lounge.
