The kitchen was big and sociable, with a large table, and that’s where we spent most of our time. We came for a weekend with my partner and family, and found the place lovely and affordable. It was £900 for five people for four nights. The central heating worked really well, the front yard had some special features, and our grand room suited the dog, who was calm and happy there. The living room seating was the one letdown: we couldn’t all get comfortable as a family. It’s for sale, but we’d definitely come back.

Sally and James made us feel so welcome at Kylemore House, and we could really settle in and make ourselves at home. There were three of us on a short break in Glastonbury, and I felt more relaxed than I had in a long time. One lovely moment was chatting with my friends in our own lounge while Sally's baking smell drifted in from the kitchen. She was making a beautiful loaf for breakfast, too. The house is tastefully decorated, our bedrooms were lovely, I slept so well, and the ensuite was perfect. Glastonbury is a lovely place to visit, and staying here made the trip feel complete. I can't wait to go back.

I had to cancel because a serious family illness required long-term hospital treatment. I sent several requests for a refund and got no response, even though the property was let again for the same dates.
