The room gets very hot, and opening the window means hearing the building site across the road, which is active around the clock. Parking costs an extra £15.50 per night because staff use all the hotel's parking. Breakfast is halal catered, with turkey bacon and chicken sausages.

The hotel is only 10 steps from the main shopping street, which was handy for visiting family in Huddersfield. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the clean, modern room was good apart from a broken shower shelf. Breakfast had lots of choice and everything we ate was tasty, though one person was serving and cleaning in the small room. There was a building across the street, but we only heard drilling one morning, which isn't the hotel's fault. Really glad we booked, would recommend and stay again. Thank you.

The lift shaft beside my room made a loud vibrating noise whenever it was used, and the window was tiny and high up. Still, I slept well, the bed was comfortable, and the room was warm. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the toiletries and tea tray items were good quality. Watch the snack prices. For a traditional full English, I went to wetherspoons instead.

I was disappointed with my stay at Stay Hotel. The reception staff were unfriendly and rude from the moment I arrived.

The stay suite was beautiful, and both the shower and bath were lovely. My husband and I spent one night there for his 30th birthday, and the staff made it extra special with balloons and banners in the room. They were lovely and very polite. I'd stay here again.
