We spent two nights here, and it was easily our favourite place of the week-long Lake District trip. There was a cute little attic, and our room was clean and looked lovely. The city centre and bus stops are only a few minutes away on foot. Cakes were available every afternoon and were delicious. Breakfast was nice too, and James and Kate were both very friendly.

We stayed in Keswick for a couple of nights and loved Clarence house. It was cosy, clean and comfortable, and the hosts were wonderful. It felt just like home, and we only wish we'd had longer there.

Clarence House made a relaxing, low-key base for the Lake District, and I highly recommend it if you're visiting. Restaurants, shops and walking trails were easy to reach. Kate and James were excellent hosts, offering helpful tips about things to do nearby and just the right amount of attention. The rooms had charm and very comfortable beds, and the hearty, delicious breakfasts were a great start to the day.

We loved our stay at this B&B. The room was very clean, though the bathroom felt a little small, and everything was run in a friendly, professional way. Breakfast was perfect. We also got a great restaurant tip and had our best meal by the lake at The square orange!

James recommended some great places to eat in town, and the welcome was so warm. Our room was spotless, and there were fresh homemade cakes for guests every day. We had an excellent stay at Clarence House this week and would highly recommend it.
