Lance is an excellent host, and I’ve stayed here three years in a row. He makes an amazing fried breakfast, and if you’re walking, he’s happy to talk through your route and suggest alternatives. This is a great B&B, and I can’t praise it enough.

The owner was great and the B&B was lovely and friendly. My room was really good, with a very comfy bed and a powerful hot shower. There’s also a small fridge on the landing for storing bits. Breakfast was high quality. Couldn’t ask for a better weekend away.

The breakfast choices included cereals and fresh fruit, and the full English set me up for a day on the fells. The locally sourced sausages were a particular highlight. This welcoming guesthouse is only a few minutes’ walk from the centre of Keswick. My light, airy room had a large en suite shower room, and I had great views of the fells from both the bedroom and shower room. Highly recommended.

I booked at the last minute and was welcomed by Lance, the owner. He knows the area well and was happy to spend time talking with me. The location and breakfast were great, and the room was comfortable and quiet, which was a big bonus.

The host was lovely, and the location was great. The room was really comfortable and clean, with possibly the best shower I’ve ever used. Breakfast was lovely too.
