The king size bed was a real bonus, and the stay was comfortable. It was very warm when we visited for a wedding, though they did provide a fan. The lack of air-conditioning is the only reason I’ve taken off a star.

The room was clean, and the location and parking were good. But it felt poorly maintained. The fan in the shower room didn’t work, the sink plug leaked so the basin wouldn’t hold water, and the shower floor was slippery with no mat. Since the room opened onto the main walkway by the car park, I couldn’t leave the curtains open. Privacy curtains would help.

I’ve never come across a place where WiFi is paid and the free access only lasts 30 minutes a day. I tried logging in and it cut out within five minutes. The location could be fine depending on your plans, and there are buses nearby that take you to a train station about 5-10 minutes away.

A wonderful stay, with kind staff and a quiet night’s sleep. It’s the best Travelodge for that, but there are no shops nearby and it feels like it’s in the middle of nowhere.

I’ve stayed here lots of times over the years. The rooms are clean and the service is very good. There’s also a brilliant curry house five minutes away.
