Travelodge Plus London Manor House

The location made getting around easy, right above Manor House tube station and just two stops from Emirates Stadium. The area can feel a little rough at night, especially if you’re a woman travelling alone, though the hotel itself felt safe and well managed. I stayed for three nights and was happy. The room was clean and comfortable, with a newly renovated bathroom, and was my favourite compared with the other hotels on this trip. Breakfast was reasonably priced with a good range, including a coffee machine. All the staff were warm and welcoming, especially one receptionist whose name I didn’t get, and they made sure things were in order. I’d still give it five stars.

The tube is right outside and the beds are fine, but I won’t stay here again. Breakfast was empty most of the time, so Park View Cafe across the street is better value. My room wasn’t very clean, with pizza sauce still on the nightstand and stains on the carpet. I reported it and was told it would be thoroughly cleaned, but nothing happened. The shower head was badly broken, spraying water from all sides. I mentioned both problems to staff on each of my three days there, and neither was fixed. This was my second stay, three years after the first.

Nothing fancy, but the friendly staff, clean and spacious comfortable room, and easy-to-find location with good transport links did the job nicely. I was relieved that arriving after midnight wasn’t a problem, even though I hadn’t managed to call ahead. The confirmation email advised calling, but I tried the number about four times at different points in the day and couldn’t get through.

I’ve been staying at Manor House Travelodge because of personal circumstances at my council property, and I want to thank the lovely team for their kindness, generosity, and care. I feel safe and comfortable there, and I’ve been sleeping like a baby. Breakfast and the evening meal are both great. The team has a can-do attitude towards every guest, whatever their circumstances.
