Trevelyan Hotel

The bar downstairs was a nice bonus, with fairly priced pints of the usual beers like Heineken. We stayed for two weeks with a few friends and were glad we found this place. The staff were welcoming, and the manager made a point of checking in with guests personally. Our room had its own shower and toilet, plus a TV, kettle, cups, and refreshments. There was plenty of storage too. I’ve stayed in lots of hotels, including Ibis, and this was a lovely find. Check out my photos. I’d happily stay again.

The bar had a lovely bartender and a calm feel, with no rowdy crowd. The whole hotel felt warm and homely, and the staff were so kind that we quickly got to know them. They were genuinely helpful, almost like family. Our room was spacious, clean, quiet, and had a proper ensuite and good working facilities. There was an electric heater, kettle, tea, coffee, sugar, biscuits, and little toiletries including soap, shampoo, and body wash. Prices felt more than fair for the quality of the stay. A comfortable place in any season.

Jackie was a lovely, helpful hostess, and the bed was comfortable. Everything was clean and tidy, and we felt very welcome. We only stayed one night, but I wish we could have stayed the whole week. We'll definitely come back.

A great little find, very close to the centre, with parking out front. The host was brilliant, and the room was clean with a comfy bed. I'll definitely be back.
