We’ve stayed here twice, and it’s one of our favourite places in Wales for a peaceful, restful break. There are lots of walks nearby, with scenery and some history to enjoy. The staff have always been helpful and professional, and breakfast is tasty and filling. Just don’t expect a posh B&B. It’s clean and restful.

We’ve started visiting with the whole family since finding this place after Covid, and we love having picnics in the gardens. The friendly staff, lovely old buildings, beautiful scenery and walks all make it a great spot. We haven’t stayed overnight yet, but my wife and I are looking forward to coming for our next anniversary.

The receptionist deserves the five stars on her own: she was friendly, easy to talk to and knew the local area well, which was a big help. We spent the bank holiday weekend here and had a clean room and a great breakfast. The beautiful architecture, garden and peaceful scenery made the stay even nicer.

Marion at reception was kind and really helpful. We also found our room clean and good value for money. The hotel has loads of character, with stunning views in a very picturesque location near Snowdonia. Thanks for a lovely stay, we’d definitely come back.

The waterfall on the grounds made this a lovely place to clear your mind, whether you’re here for a spiritual retreat, a backpacking trip or just a lazy weekend. The views are stunning. Though breakfast is described as a buffet, the food seemed to go straight from the pan to the plate. Staff were friendly throughout the hotel.
