The calm atmosphere and subtly restored original decor made for a pleasant lunch stop with a colleague. I ordered the Tipple Burger, a half-pounder with cheese and bacon, served with chips, onion rings and greens. It was tasty and filling, and good enough that I'll come back for it even though burgers aren't usually my thing. The regulars were friendly, and my three dogs settled down straight away. Highly recommended.

We've stopped here whenever we've driven through the area and have never been disappointed. It's a relaxing pub with a brilliant atmosphere and really good food. There's plenty of parking behind it, a huge beer garden for good weather, and a smaller patio by the bar. They also run pool competitions and quiz nights, and make locals and visitors feel welcome.

We were just passing through and called in today. The man behind the bar gave us a great welcome and served what was probably the best Sunday dinner we've ever had. It was very reasonably priced too. What a gem.

The service was lovely, and the Sunday roast was cooked just right, with plenty of meat and fresh vegetables. There was a veggie option as well. The puddings looked great, but we were too full to try one.

This is our regular go-to. The Sunday roasts are lovely, with that cared-for, home-cooked taste, and it's always friendly and welcoming. We stop in often and highly recommend it.
