We had a lovely time. The welcome was warm, everything was very clean, and the suite had a comfy sofa as well as a really comfortable bed. Breakfast was brilliant, and our host made me gluten-free food without any trouble. Thank you!

Melody and her husband made us feel very welcome. The property is set back from a fairly main road, so we couldn't hear any traffic. Our room was exceptionally clean, spacious and well appointed. A superb place to stay and take in the North Yorkshire countryside, a real gem.

The stair lift was a godsend with our mobility problems, and the en-suite had a proper shower cubicle, so we didn't have to climb into a silly bath with our bad legs and hips. There's no lift, but that stair lift helped a lot. Private off-road parking was essential for me, as I get paranoid about leaving my classic 67 Mustang on the street overnight. We stayed four days at the Farm and were impressed by how clean it was and by the warm welcome. There were thoughtful extras like packets of Snickers, Bounty's and Kit kats to take on our outings, plus plenty of T-bags, sugar and milk for morning and evening tea. It didn't feel stingy like at some other hotels. The food was all top quality, with big, well-cooked breakfasts, cereal, a plate of fruit and large mugs of tea. Other places usually give you small cups, but here they had pint mugs. We'd gone to the "Heartbeat" classic car rally at Goathland (Aidensfield), but the high prices at hotels and Guesthouses near the village put us off. Looking further afield led us to this gem at Great Ayton. I'd totally recommend Mill Farm for a memorable, quiet stay. We'll be back. 😀

The internet signal was very good, and the coffee was perfect. Melody made me a delicious breakfast for my vegetarian diet. She and her husband were so welcoming, greeting me with smiles and kindness. I've stayed in Middlesbrough once or twice a month over the last two years, and this is the cleanest B&B I've ever seen. The rooms are spotless too, as I said. I'd definitely recommend this place to anyone staying in the area who doesn't want to book in M'bro town centre. 10/10.
