Dakota Eurocentral

The staff at Dakota eurocerntal made our Valentine’s staycation feel special. Daniel was cheerful, patient and so accommodating in the lounge, even taking photos of us when we asked despite how busy it was. Anton was just as helpful when we had a query later, very professional, knowledgeable, kind and funny. The reception team were welcoming too. They’re a real credit to the hotel, and we wanted to write in as soon as we got home. We usually go to the south Queensferry venue for a spontaneous night away, but this time we travelled further from Fife and were so glad we did. The room was clean, the bed was wonderfully comfortable, and the shower was powerful, with gorgeous toiletries and fluffy towels. Having room service for drinks and food while we got ready was a lovely little luxury. We wanted a peaceful, candlelit place to unwind, and that’s exactly what we found. Dakota eurocerntal is now our number one. We’ll be back, thank you so much. X

The festive cocktails were amazing, full of punch but still tasted great, and the afternoon tea food was delicious with generous portions. Service was attentive without hovering. It was well worth the money and a lovely way to spend an afternoon.

The hotel is beautifully designed, with a lovely setting and a handy spot between the two cities. The team at Dakota are excellent and well trained, going out of their way to make sure you have what you need and that everything meets the standard you expect.

The events team did a great job running our small function, and they were really on the ball. The rest of the stay was a farce from the start, though. We had a large group booking, and reception mixed up all the rooms. Everyone was assigned a room under someone else's name, and we had to wait while they worked out whether our last guest actually had a room. Parking was the biggest problem. I entered the hire car registration when I arrived, but later got a fine anyway. The hotel told us it had been cancelled, but the parking company never sent confirmation. I was charged the fine and an admin fee for something I didn't owe. It's disgraceful that they took payment after the cancellation. Parking Eye makes £15m in profit a year, yet there's no way to speak to a person, so now I'm out of pocket with no way to challenge it.
