I only needed a room for the night while attending a local training course, so the place did the job for me. Just be aware there’s not much nearby: a petrol station about two minutes from the hotel, but little else. If you need anything beyond somewhere to sleep, this won’t suit you.

No frills, just what it says on the tin, and I slept well. Good value for a one-night stop, close to Stoney Cove scuba diving.

It’s much quieter than Rugby, which was dreadful, and I’d definitely stay here again if I was out most of the day. It’s ideal if you take the bus to and from town, or travel to Leicester for the day. The only letdowns were a sound issue with the TV and a very springy mattress.

We were only there for one night, but it suited our needs well. There’s also a very good restaurant next door.

I paid for four breakfasts in advance, then was told in the morning they weren’t available because some items were out of stock. I asked for a refund and was told the manager would process it the next day, but it still hasn’t come through and nobody answers the phone. Very disappointing.
