The kids were delighted to see the goats and pigs, and we spent Sunday doing DIY pizzas before unwinding in the gardens and hot tub. We’d booked the whole place with Lou and Andy for family coming to our wedding, and it worked so well. The house is stunning, with every room clearly finished with a lot of love. Everyone kept saying how beautiful it was and that they’d like to return. Taking the Calstock Ferry from the private dock to the wedding venue was a brilliant way to arrive. We’ll definitely be back!

Lou and Andrew made our friends and neighbours feel very welcome when we celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary at Rumleigh Farm. There was plenty of parking, a lovely atmosphere, and everyone enjoyed the excellent food. We had a wonderful time and hope to use Rumleigh Farm again soon.

Louise had already switched on the fairy lights in the events barn, and with its wood burner it felt magical for the relaxed evening gathering we wanted. We hired Rumleigh Farm for a family get-together in memory of my Mum, who sadly died in 2024. Fourteen of us in our immediate family could stay there, and we had room to invite our Devon family over for drinks and food. The rooms were excellent and the facilities suited us perfectly. We’d love to return each year!

There was so much in the area to explore that we only scratched the surface and wished we could have stayed longer. We walked by the river and hiked in Dartmoor, and had some amazing meals at blacksmiths arms and the Larder at Yelverton. The peaceful setting and scenery were lovely, and it was a pleasure to visit the animals. There were helpful guides, maps and leaflets to point us towards things to do. The owners were very responsive and helpful before and during our stay. They lit the hot tub ahead of time, brought extra firewood, suggested walks and activities, and recommended a local chef who cooked dinner for us one evening. The Long Barn worked perfectly for our two families. All the bedrooms were lovely, and the teenagers enjoyed sharing one room. The kitchen was well equipped for group cooking, with lots of seating, including options for making a very large dining table. We appreciated the fire on chilly autumn nights, and there was plenty of wood for cosy evenings. The local milk and apple juice were a nice surprise. We’d arranged a supermarket delivery before arriving, and the hosts kindly made that possible. Next time, we’ll stay longer!

Rumleigh Farm made a lovely setting for our wedding weekend, with beautiful countryside and plenty of spots for photos or a quiet moment. Lou and Andrew were welcoming and helpful throughout, and made everything feel easy. We wanted an intimate, relaxed celebration, and it turned out just as we’d hoped. The accommodation was comfortable and cosy, with lots of character. It was great for children too. They had loads of safe space to explore and play, and loved running around the farm. We couldn’t have asked for a better place for our wedding. Thank you, Lou and Andrew, for helping us make such lasting memories!
