The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful, though you may need to ring them to find them. My main-floor room was sparkling clean, with a comfy bed, a small loo and a view of nearby buildings. There was a bit of hallway noise, but not often. This feels like a British gran’s house, with several rooms in central Scarborough. It’s classic, old-school lodging in a great location, handy for the railway station and Stephen James Theatre. The off-season price was fantastic, and for the location, comfort and value, I’d stay again for a night or two.

The room was clean and fresh, with everything we needed, and the beds were comfy. It was quiet at night, with no shouting, just peace. The shops and South Bay beach weren’t far away, and the accommodation was a great price. Jonathan welcomed us, helped with our bags and said we could ask if we needed anything. We’d happily return and recommend it to anyone staying in Scarborough. Thanks for making us feel so welcome, Jonathan, and sorry we called just to ask for some milk!

The location’s great, just a short walk from South Beach and town, and the staff were great too. The room was nice. The only snag was the ensuite bathroom door, which was hard to close. Apart from that, it was perfect and I’d stay again ☺️

The bed was unbelievably comfortable, and the shower was great. I slept well, though curtains would have helped me rest even better. The room was clean, if a little dated, and had plenty of wardrobe and storage space along with a kettle, hot drinks, shower gel, hairdryer, TV, coffee table and chairs. Check-in and check-out could be explained more clearly, but those seem like easy fixes. The station is about a five-minute walk away and the seafront around ten minutes. I only expected a basic room, so I got more than I’d planned for. I think I’d come back.
