Colin made our visit especially enjoyable with his warm welcome and all the useful tips and recommendations he shared. We’d happily stay here again. The place was clean and comfortable, with a pleasant, relaxing atmosphere. Breakfast was excellent, with plenty of good quality food to choose from. The location was convenient for transport to both the city centre and the other side of the island. There’s a shop and a fish and chip place nearby, plus buses 41/42 to the centre or across to the other side of the island.

Guernsey can be hard for finding available hotels in peak season, so El Tabora came to my rescue. It’s ideal for a quick overnight while travelling or if you’re on a budget. Colin was extremely welcoming. The property is super retro and clean, though somewhat dated. I feel that’s part of its charm. There aren’t many places like this left, so enjoy it while you can.

A lovely old guesthouse with character, a little gem without frills. I really appreciated the simple, kind, heart-led way it’s run. Colin, the housekeeper, is lovely and very helpful, and can certainly help you plan your time on the island. Very nice stay and breakfast.

Colin was a pleasure to talk to and knows the area well. His recommendations were spot on. We had a great stay, with a clean, well-furnished room and a clean, spacious shared bathroom. Breakfast had lots of different options, and plenty of food.
