The staff couldn’t have done more for us, and the leisure club was clean, free to use, and well managed and maintained. The car park is huge, and parking was free for our stay. Breakfast was delicious, and it costs less if you book it at reception the night before. We only stayed three nights, and I wish we could’ve stayed longer. We don’t get away often, so I’m really glad I picked the Grand. Room 207 was bigger than I expected and spotless. I did have to ask for another pillow, but that’s just me! I can’t wait to stay again. Thank you.

The hygiene was non-existent in room 102 when I stayed on 4th December. Goodness knows what was in the sink! I paid £165.90 for one night, twice what other local hotels cost. I contacted Britannia Group main office several times and got no response. Do yourself a favour and book elsewhere. Avoid this hotel at all costs.

The team have been understanding and accommodating when I needed them most, and I can’t thank them enough. Everyone, from reception and management to housekeeping, the Leisure Club and catering, goes above and beyond. Nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are clean and very comfortable, and the friendly housekeeping staff refresh them daily and are always ready to help.

The food was amazing, and I really enjoyed it. It’s a fantastic twist for the hotel. Congratulations! The room was OK, with no issues. I checked in at 4pm, and the trays had been sitting in the hallway since the day before. The receptionist seemed disinterested when I mentioned it.

We had a lovely stay with their special deal: bed, breakfast and evening meal, a bottle of prosecco, and free parking for £139. Needless to say, we’ll book again.
