The stay was okay, but the photos suggest tea and coffee facilities that weren’t actually there. It seems like the sort of guest house for lads, if that’s your thing. I wasn’t happy about sharing the shower and toilet, especially since there was room enough in ours for its own bathroom. I’d give the guest house one star and won’t stay here again.

The only thing going for this place was its location, a two-minute walk from the beach. Everything else was disappointing. Our top-floor WiFi was basically nonexistent, and all night there was a sewerage smell. The bed was very small for a couple, and there was nobody to greet us when we arrived. We booked two nights and wish we hadn’t. There was no breakfast despite what booking.com said, no tea or coffee setup, kettle, microwave, soap, wardrobe, dining area or communal lounge as advertised. The TV was tiny. The break was ruined. It was overpriced. Save your money and book somewhere else.

There was plenty of room in the basement, with a kitchen, a front room and a bathroom. We never met the owners, but they sent all the contact details. Great location, and just right for four blokes for one night.

We had three comfortable nights in this lovely guest house and the service was wonderful. It’s a short walk from the sea, and I’d stay again. The only small gripe was weak to nonexistent WiFi on the second floor. A booster would help.

Disgraceful. The room was so tiny you couldn’t swing a cat, despite the advertising, and I couldn’t use the shower without hitting my head, even though I’m a size 8. There was no breakfast either. Then £100 was taken from my account with no warning, so I’m on the phone to my solicitor. Don’t go!!!
