Lisa (especially) and Fred made us feel right at home at The Dairy. It’s such a comfortable place for a weekend in the beautiful Somerset countryside, and they’d provided everything for a home-from-home stay, including a great breakfast selection. It makes a fabulous base for exploring the area, and there’s still so much more we’d like to see. We hope to return.

We had a wonderful stay here while visiting Yeovil. It’s a great place to base yourself, and I’d highly recommend it. We’ll stay again next time.

We’ve been back to Lisa and Fred’s dairy house twice because we love it so much. They’re friendly and accommodating, and the place is clean, tidy and stocked with everything for a family holiday, including amenities for our 9-month-old. It’s perfectly placed for museums, the zoo and lots of lovely walks. We’d recommend it 100%, 5 stars!

The owners made us feel so welcome, and all the personal touches made this property feel special in a way we haven’t found elsewhere. It’s a cosy, inviting home from home, and we were reluctant to leave after a few nights. There are lots of attractions nearby for fun days out if you don’t mind a short drive. We loved coming back to the property each evening. Absolutely perfect, and we can’t wait to return ☺️

The setting is idyllic, in a lovely Somerset village of mellow ham-stone houses, with the owner’s sheep in the next field and chickens completing the pastoral scene. The Dairy at High House is a superior place to stay. Guests are met on arrival and shown around the accommodation and how everything works. There’s also a lovely, thoughtful welcome pack in the fridge. It would easily deserve a place in The Times Weekend ‘Best Places to Stay’.
